Concept illustrationBuilt around your home and the way you use power
Electrical projects often begin with a practical goal: charge your car at home, replace an outdated panel, improve the lighting, or keep selected equipment running during an outage. The right next step starts with understanding the home, the equipment and what you want the project to do.
Voltera Energy brings everyday electrical work and larger home-energy projects into one conversation. We want you to understand the proposed work, equipment, expected cost and who will perform the installation before you decide.
Planning for a charger today and a battery later? Those priorities can be discussed together so the project plan reflects how you expect to use your home.

Availability, licensing, installer qualifications, permits and scheduling can vary by state, city, equipment and project. A detected or selected city does not mean Voltera has a local office there or guarantee coverage.
Home EV charging
A useful installation plan looks at the vehicle, charger model, electrical capacity, parking location and cable route.
Tesla Wall Connector and Universal Wall Connector are home-charging options. ChargePoint Home Flex and other manufacturers offer additional equipment choices. The right configuration depends on your vehicle, selected charger and the property’s electrical system.
Already have a charger? Share the brand and model. Still comparing? Tell us about your vehicle and daily charging needs so the installation requirements can be reviewed.
Batteries & generators
Start with the loads and spaces you want to support, then assess the equipment and electrical scope.
A home battery, including Tesla Powerwall, can store electricity for later use and support backup in an appropriately configured system. Backup duration depends on the system design and the loads in use.
Standby generator projects may also involve transfer equipment, fuel and site work. A written proposal should make clear which provider handles each part of the project.
Panels & solar
Assess the existing system before adding a charger, battery, appliance or other major load.
A panel assessment can help determine whether the home needs a conventional panel upgrade, a service change or another solution. SPAN smart panels offer circuit monitoring and control features; SPAN installations require the applicable installer qualifications, which should be confirmed for the specific project.
Voltera can also review electrical work connected with solar and storage projects. Equipment compatibility, utility coordination and permitting depend on the property and proposed design.
What to expect
Know what is proposed and who is responsible before installation is scheduled.
Tell us what you want to repair, install or improve, and share the property ZIP code.
The equipment, electrical system, location and any product qualifications shape the proposed work.
Review the written scope, price, responsibilities, permits and any work outside the estimate.
Before scheduling, confirm the responsible provider, qualifications and expected installation sequence.
Respect for your home matters. Discuss equipment placement, access, the work area and finished appearance as part of the project scope. For a Home Depot purchase or equipment from another retailer, share the manufacturer and model so the installation requirements can be reviewed.
Before you begin
You can request information about electrical repairs and upgrades, EV charging, Tesla Wall Connector and Powerwall projects, panel upgrades, home batteries, standby generators, and commercial charging. Equipment support, project scope and availability are confirmed for the property.
Yes. Share the product and model you are considering, your ZIP code and your goals. The project team should confirm the relevant installer qualifications, equipment, scope and local availability before scheduling.
Share the property ZIP code and the service you need. Availability depends on the project, location, equipment and properly qualified provider; a city shown by the website is approximate and does not confirm coverage.
Send the brand and model, your ZIP code and where it will be installed. Voltera can review the request and confirm whether the equipment and project can be supported.
Not necessarily. The existing electrical system and proposed charging equipment need to be assessed before deciding whether an upgrade or another approach is appropriate.
